Join the Young Professionals of Haywood for our Summer Community Service Project with the HUNGER FREE HAYWOOD Manna Food Drive. Dress to pack and sort donated food items, to later be distributed to Community Partner Agencies in Haywood County.

HUNGER FREE HAYWOOD is an opportunity to get involved with our community, keep our efforts within our community and address a serious need in our community.  With the participation from the very generous residents of Haywood County, we can come together to address the serious needs of our neighbors here in our county.

A community based effort addressing hunger insecurity in our community from June 15th through July 15th, 2012. Throughout the month, local businesses and organizations will be accepting food staples, to be distributed directly to the local food pantries and soup kitchens right here in Haywood County.

GOAL
To collect 50,000 pounds of food, increase awareness about hunger in Haywood County, and educate the community about what is being done and who is participating. This effort is a way to empower the generous residents of Haywood County to reach out to their neighbors and help reduce the stigma associated with hunger.
